Our senior hairstylist and branch manager Becky, is U.K. born, but grew up in the land of the long white cloud, New Zealand. She comes from a creative background in graphic design. She then discovered her lifelong passion and career in hairdressing. She moved to London to further her craft and be inspired by the city, fashion and its people. Becky loves to do her artistic balayage, colour transformations and cuts that express her clients personality. There is no better job, than making someone feel beautiful.

Our Italian hairstylist Silvia, based at our Barbican hair salon, was born in the north of Italy. She lived in Milan for about 10 years, where she studied at an art institute and then the academy of art, sculpture. It was however more than a decade and a half ago that she started her journey as a hairstylist. She’s always been into creative haircuts and colours, punk-chic is her style. Our self-employed stylist Sylvia says: “I think beauty is everywhere, sometimes it’s hiding… and that’s where hairdressers do the magic!”

Born in Germany to Italian parents, Daniele gained most of his experience working in the family business. The key to achieving client satisfaction is listening to them, he says. Meet our Italian senior hairstylist and colourist Rosa. She was born in Sicily, where she laid the foundation for her skills training at a hairdressing school. However about five years ago she decided to move to the UK to sharpen her skills and gain new experience. With over a decade of making people look beautiful, Rosa has also collaborated with various brands. She is passionate about creating a different look tailormade to each client, from the haircut itself to using shades and tones. Her travels have fuelled this passion for hairdressing and brought new inspiration. For her, hairdressing is more than just hair, it’s a moment of trust. Meet our Clerkenwell based hairstylist Alexandra. Born in Romania, she started her journey of becoming a stylist at a very young age. After spending many hours in the salons and training hard to perfect her craft, Alexandra decided to head to London to move her skills to the next level. She loves to create different styles, haircuts and play with different shades of colours. The most important though for her is to make people feel beautiful and confident. Our Barbican colour technician in Clerkenwell, Julia, from Lithuania (with Russian roots), started her career in the realm of graphic design. Her creative journey and love for colour gradually moved her to work with hair and she’s never looked back since. Julia loves creative bleaches with bright or pastel shades, soft highlights would be her next favourite thing. Her inspiration comes from many sources around her; anime to different cultures and the art & fashion world. She’s had the honour to work on a variety of photo shoots when not creating her magical hairdos in a salon setting. Julia says: “Hair is such an incredible medium to express your personality and stand out in the crowd”. Monika has been with ESHK for many years, seeing it expand and evolve. She makes sure clients leave with a smile, the salons look perfect and the teams in the different branches are happy and have all they need. Monika says: “Managing two teams with a total of 20 people isn’t easy, a serious challenge at times, but at the end of the day it’s all good fun.”
